ROSS MILTON SUTTER

Ross Milton SutterRoss has a wide repertoire of songs, dances and tunes collected from relatives and musicians both in the United States and Europe. He is best known for his Scandinavian and Celtic songs but he also loves to sing old American traditional and popular songs.

Ross accompanies himself on guitar, dulcimer, button accordion and bodhran, the Irish goat-skin drum. Ross is at home in almost any situation from concert hall to school, from outdoor festival to senior center. Ross's programs can be tailored to the sponsoring groups' event: for example, songs of immigration and pioneers for museums and schools, Irish and Scottish songs for Celtic festivals, or Scandinavian singing games and dances for Midsummer or Christmas celebrations.

In addition to programs for adults, Ross has done thousands of performances for children and families over the past thirty years. These performances usually include participation by at least part of the audience and often most of the audience.
Ross also offers instrument building workshops to children and families. The two most popular instruments that he constructs with participants from pre-cut kits one-string dulcimers and dancing limberjack dolls. These workshops have been very well tested over the past fifteen years and always lead to successful completion and an instrument that will last for years.
