Heritage Village Cowboys
Heritage Village Cowboys are a trio of professional musicians dedicated to the presentation and preservation of the music of the Old West. Led since 1977 by Old West Trails Foundation award winner Jim Lovell, the Cowboys have performed on A Prairie Home Companion and other National Public Radio shows. Their music portrays the strength, quiet faith, humor and tragedy faced each day as our ancestors pioneered west across America. Joined by multi-talented musicians Steve Gardner and Chuck Biegler, Lovell entertains thousands each year at Heritage Village, near Crazy Horse Monument in the heart of the Black Hills. The group has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada at convention and cultural centers, churches and special events. Their tight three-part harmony, accompanied by upright bass, guitar, keyboard and accordion, blend with whistling, yodeling, comedy and western poetry for a fascinating show.
