South Dakota Governor’s 5th Biennial Art Exhibition

Governor Dennis Daugaard and First Lady Linda Daugaard invite all artists, living and working in South Dakota, to submit their artwork for the fifth biennial competition and touring exhibition. This juried exhibition is organized to recognize and encourage South Dakota artists, promote the artistic identity of South Dakota and to celebrate the cultural and artistic heritage and future of South Dakota.

The exhibition will open at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City on May 11, 2012. The exhibition will then travel to the South Dakota Art Museum in Brookings, and The Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science in Sioux Falls through June 2013.

Works may be 2-D or 3-D, and must be original and completed within the last three years. The exhibition is open to all visual media including painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, prints, photography, fine crafts, traditional arts, video and books. Entry postmark deadline is Jan. 25, 2012
