Artist Grants:

Artist Grants recognize individual artistic excellence.  the funding category is designed to encourage the creative achievement of South Dakota artists, recognize artists of exceptional talent in any arts discipline, and assist artists in continued development of their careers in the arts. DEADLINE:  March 1, 2008; PFD Application Form

Artist Collaboration Grants are designed to encourage a multi-state collaboration to expand the horizon and artistic base of a South Dakota artist.  grant funds provide financial support to two South Dakota artists or a South Dakota artists and an out-of-state artist to collaborate on a project that will advance both artists' work and careers.  A collaboration may partner two artists working in the same discipline, or two artists working in different disciplines. Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Grants encourage the continuation of South Dakota's traditional arts and cultures.  grant funds provide master artists the opportunity to teach qualified apprenticeships. DEADLINE:  March 1, 2008  PDF Application Form

Artist in Schools & Communities provide professional artists an opportunity to encourage and supplement the arts in South Dakota school classrooms and in nonprofit community agencies, facilities or programs. DEADLINE: September 1, 2008; Roster
